Q. What steps should I follow to dismiss/sack someone?


Follow our SIMPLA model:-

  1. Suspend (only if Gross Misconduct is suspected)
  2. Investigate the incident
  3. Meet to discuss the evidence
  4. Pause to consider your response
  5. Let them know in a letter giving your decision and the right to appeal
  6. Appeal - deal with this if it occurs
