Employment Law Compliance in Lancashire

Compliance Savvy

What is it? This is a usually a one-off project to get the employer to a place of employment compliance with an up-to-date, tailored set of employment documents that consist of the Employment Contract and a Staff Handbook, tailored for the business.  In the case of very small businesses or organisations they may just need a few essential policies instead of a full Staff Handbook.

1)    You can take this along with the Employment Savvy annual support package OR

2)    Purchase as a one-off project to include a set number of essential letter templates, for example,  Model letters for Offers of Employment, disciplinary meetings and more.

Alternatively, you may choose to take our Pay As You Go advice option and access the tailored advice and letters as and when required.

Health & Safety compliance is a very important area for employers and HR Savvy can provide access to Health and Safety experts who will oversee and put in place their Health and Safety systems and processes to ensure compliance on an Annual Support Package basis.

Why Use it? To be legally compliant with the Employment Rights Act and Health and Safety Regulations.  To nip employment problems in the bud early.  To prevent losing a quality employee. To reduce the risk of losing an employment tribunal claim. To reduce the risk of an enforcement order from the Health & Safety Executive or worse, an employee accident or fatality.

What happens if you don’t use it?  Employers can use other free services such as ACAS or Chamber HR/Federation of Small Businesses HR.

If employers don’t take the professional advice they can experience poor employee retention, increase in employment related costs and higher risks of having to defend a tribunal claim or a claim for Corporate manslaughter in the area of Health & Safety.

Alicia Whiley, Havwoods Accessories, Preston

"I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone going through a restructure as it's all too easy to unwittingly trip yourself up, upsetting the staff and creating a legal headache for yourself. A very worthwhile investment."
